I did not do the 2.2 on my G5 because that update killed my MBP. I assumed any issues with 2.2 and canon would get resolved with 2.3. Today did the 2.3 and it killed my G5! Note that there were several other software/security updates (I unfortunately let the updater load them all).

Note that I also just tried to revert back to 2.1 rawcamera.bundle (as suggested in prior posts) but no luck. Looks like I might have to wipe the drive and restore from Time Machine - UNLESS someone has a better suggestion.

HELP!

Since reverting to the old DCRCU did not resolve your issue, I'd suggest reinstalling it. It sounds like there might be something else wrong. Did you rebuild your Aperture database (Option & CMD on launch).

Can you import other RAW or JPEG images successfully? Did you try and start with a New Library to see if you can do a new import into a new Library?

If you can post the section of the crash log where it's crashing, someone on this board might recognize the issue.

Well, after much hassle, I seem to have fixed the issue. What I did was:

1. deleted the rawcamera.bundle from system folder.
2. ran disk utility and repaired permissions.
3. opened AP with "option-command" to rebuild database.
4. Re-installed the new 2.3 camera bundle.

Not sure what helped, but...

Viola! I am now able to read the raw files from both the card reader and camera. Maybe now I should attempt 2.3 on my MBP????

this one fixes the problem 2.2 introduced for me, not reading memory cards (no thumbnails showing up, and not doing anything basically) from my Canon 1D-mark II. Great to see support for the D90 and the 50D. This means I probably won't have to wait very long for support when my 5D-mk ii arrives at the end of the month.

I've just completed migrating all my images from the last couple of months after updating the camera raw (Thank you!!)

BUT (someone please help me with this)

now Aperture does not recognize NEF files on the card when I go to import them.

If I import from the card reader I see a preview but it will not import an image.

If I import straight from the camera (D90) I will get the files but there is no preview.

Is there something I'm overlooking?
