Select the URL's icon in your browser's address field - it's the icon that appears to the left of the beginning of the URL (http.) Drag to your Desktop or location of choice. If you want to put it in the Dock, the just drag directly into the Dock on the right side of the Dock's sizing gadget.

That icon only appears when you drag the URL into the Dock. If you drag to a disk location such as the Desktop then you will get a different looking icon but it will still have the "@" sign in it.

If you want, you can drag any URL into the Dock, and it will appear as in your image. But it will only take you to the URL address tied to that Dock item. There is no "general" Dock item to take you to any URL you want. You must drag the desired URL to the Dock.

Hi superman-jj, and a warm welcome to the forums! 🙂

Here's a workaround...

Create a new folder called say Web, drag any browser URLs you want to that folder, rename them as you wish, do a Get Info on them one at a time, highlight the small icon at top, paste and previously copied Icon you wish, close Get info windoe, do next one, then drag that Web folder to the right side of the Dock between Applications & Trash... you should have a pop-up menu of your links. 🙂
