HP Media Vault MV2020 & OS X 10.5.5

I have an old HP MV2020 NAS drive which I use on my Windows XP machines for backup, storage and print serving. I have tried couple of times to figure out the best way to use this storage device with my MBP & iMac. I have used SMB, Mount / Automount, and NFS successfully from other unix / linux machines but, cannot get the MV2020 to connect to OS X 10.5.

Does anyone have a recommended solution which will allow me to connect this NAS device to my Mac's? I am sure it is something simple but I have not figured it out yet.

Thanks,
David

When I spoke to one of my techie friends they walked me through the steps.

When you are in the config pasges of the network drive under the user settings tab. If you have workgroup selected there shouldn't be an issue unless you have the port blocked in network security. (File Sharing & Printer Sharing should be allowed) If you have a section with "defined users" you need to note exactly the user name you listed and whatever the password is and put in in the network settings in Leopard. From the network select advanced and select 802.x click on the plus in the left and add a system profile. It will ask for the user name and password and these should be what you are using to log in to the HP Media Vault. Now you should be able to connect with cifs. When you try to connect, it will again ask for the media vault user id & password. (I don't know why I couldn't just put the info here, but it didn't work until the info was put in the network settings as well) Hope this helps.
