I want to develop some applications on Ipod. Does anyone know if there is any emulator for ipod on PC(WINDOW)?

    but actually I and my partner want to develop speech technologies on iPod, like using voice recognition to select songs, but now finding an interface to run applications...

    can anyone give us help...?

    I am not sure the iPod's processor could handle that. You might be looking at a hardware accessory, or at least one that supplements a microphone.

    There is a point of contact at the bottom of the page, maybe not the exact one you want, but I berlieve it could get your toe in the door.

    iPodLinux is a total re-use of the iPod hardware. I believe the original poster wants to create an application that works with the existing iPod hardware AND (soft/firm)ware.

    Well, then, the answer is easy. That can't be done. Don't bother trying.

    Just to add a bit more detail, Katy, Apple does not intend the iPod to be a platform for outside development - they intend it to be a media player, not a PDA - so no kits for developing any applications to run on the iPod have been released. Whether or not this will change at any point in the future I don't know, but I'd doubt that we'll see development support for anything other than external accessories anytime in the near future.
