Apple TV Won't Update :(

I have an Apple TV currently running 1.1
When I click software update (on the Apple TV, not my computer) the ATV checks for updates and says that it is updated.

I'd appreciate any help anyone may have 🙂

Welcome to the  Discussion Forums.

Try restarting the tv and retrying the update. If not, you may need to check your network has all the appropriate ports open.

and if all fails, possible a factory restore might be required.

Yes, I'd probably try that before go fiddling around with network settings.

Thanks for the quick response and suggestions.
I had already done a factory restore... I have come to realize that the problem is that I'm not connected to the internet. I live on campus and every time I want to access the internet I have to put my user name and password in. I'm connected to my personal router...

Is there any way to enter log in information on the ATV?

At any rate, I'm going to move off campus at the end of the year. Maybe I'll just have to wait until then.
