Sharepoint Server And Finder - 0 Byte Files when using webdav

I am unable to write to a sharepoint site using webdav, I can on the other hand create directories just fine. Also I can write to the sharepoint site if I use the command line or other software such as mUcommander.

I have seen this issue previously but no one has come up with a solution. I would like to be able to save directly to the sharepoint site.

Can you direct me to that post? I do not believe it has to do with authentication since the webdav is actually mounted and if you use command line or a file manager such as muCommander, it works just fine. This is not a solution though, we need this to work from within finder, as any application that relies on finder to save the files to the sharepoint site will also fail.
