Q: Airport extreme and Playstation 3

I have an Airport extreme connected to a DSL modem from cox on my downstairs PC, it is connected to my macbook pro currently and under the "bridge" setting. I would like to connect to my PS3 but am unable to. I tried multiple settings but for half of them it cuts out the internet on the PC sying "local area connection a network cable was unplugged" so I have it on the bridge mode which is the only mode that seems to allow me to get wifi to my macbook,
but not to ANYTHING else. As a last ditch effort I bought a 7' ethernet cable and connected it between my mbp and my PS3 because as crazy as it sounds,
that worked with my old HP pavilion before it died. that was not the case this time so I am wondering what I need to do to get my PS3 to connect to my airport extreme along with my macbook pro...

macbok pro, Mac OS X (10.5.3)

Hello kstorm. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!

What is the make/model of your DSL modem? Just to make sure I understand, you have an 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) connected directly to this modem via Ethernet. In turn you have both the PC and the MacBook Pro connected to the AEBSn (wired, wirelessly, or both?) You also have connected a PS3 (wired or wirelessly?) to the AEBSn. Finally by "bridge" setting, I assume that you reconfigured the AEBSn as a bridge ... correct?

well I have a Cox DSL modem running from my PC and because it only has one ethernet port I plugged the cable running from my cpu to the modem into the ethernet port of the Airport extreme then ran another ethernet cable from that to the Modem effectively using the airport as a go between from the cpu to the DSL modem , and it all worked out fine, the problem is I don't know what settings or how to get the network to connect to more than one device i.e. it will only send a signal to my macbook pro but my iPod touch and PS3 both cannot access the internet from the signal despite both devices being able to find it when they scan for networks. I am most concerned about being able to use the airport on my macbook pro AND use it for online gaming on my PS3.

I assume that in the mode I have it set on it is only giving out one IP address to my macbook pro, so i tried turning the airport off on that to see if it would connect to my ps3 by it being the only device trying to access the network but that didn't work either, so I need to figure out how to have it send out multiple IP addresses so i can connect to all my devices, oh, by the way. my macbook is connected wirelessly from the airport extreme, it is upstairs while the cpu is downstairs, I mulled over the idea of just running an ethernet cable from my ps3 to the airport through the wall but do not have the abilities or time to do that at the moment as connecting my macbook pro to the ps3 wired while using the macbook's accessibility to the internet did not work.

Bridge Mode is the problem, I believe. Use "create wireless network" in Airport Utility.
