G5 starts beeping randomly
Hey guys
My powermac G5 seems to have a new habit of starting to beep about once a minute. It happened yesterday, and I restarted and it didn't do it again. Then just now it started again, and once again I restarted and it seems to have stopped.
It's a non-threatening sounding chime . . . as if something finished downloading or a program wants attention. But none of that is going on. In fact just now, the only things I had opened were itunes and firefox.
Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and what it might mean. Is this a sign of bad things to come?
