client-error-not-possible with Canon MP520 and airport printing

My Canon Pixma MP520 worked perfectly as a wireless printer through airport under OS Tiger.
Since I installed Leopard wireless printing became a nightmare.
'No pages found' or 'client-error-not-possible' is what I get when trying to print.
Printing via USB is working well so the driver is in there.
I once managed to make it work after reinstalling the OS but hey isn't there another less time consuming way because afetr 2 weeks operating well the problem came back again.

Try this. Open Print & Fax then with the Control key held down, click in the Printers list. This will make the Reset printing system menu appear. Click this.

Now I would delete the contents of the ./Library/Printers/Canon/BJPrinter folder. Then navigate to ./Library/Receipts and delete the Canon MP520 xxx.pkg file.

Now empty the Trash, restart the Mac and run the latest version (v6.9.3) of the MP520 installer again. Download it from Canon if you need to.

With the latest driver installed, add the printer queue again, using the More Printers > Canon IJ Network option.

Hello Frank,

The 9672 error usually occurs when there has been a problem with the driver software being unable to locate the files it needs to complete the adding of the printer queue. I have found this to be caused by other versions of driver files lurking around on the Mac. So I would try the following steps.

1. Open System Preferences > Print & Fax. Highlight the Canon printer in the Printer list and click the minus ( - ) button.
2. Hold Control key and click in the empty Printers list. Click on Reset Printing System.
3. Close Print & Fax
4. Go to Library > Printers > Canon and delete the contents of the BJPrinter folder.
5. Go to Library > Receipts and delete the Canon driver package/s file. There could be more than one present in this folder. The file name will show Canon MP520 xxx.pkg
6. Go to Library > Preferences and delete the Canon folder.
7. Empty the Trash
8. Restart the Mac
9. Run the v6.9.3 driver installer again.
10. Once the driver installation is complete, go to Applications > Utilities and open Disk Utility. Run the Repair Disk Permissions option.
11. Now at this point connect the MP520 to your Mac via USB cable. Then open Print & Fax and see if the Canon printer is listed. If it is, try a test print.
12. If this works, then move the MP520 back to your Airport and use the More Printers > Canon IJ Network menu to add the wireless printer queue.

Hopefully this gets it working for you again.
