Itunes won't list new albums from shared drive

I set up a shared folder on a network drive (\\hostpc\Itunes). I was able to change the -prefererences-advanced- folder option to the network drive. I also had it set up to copy to my Itunes folder on my laptop.

When I clicked ok. it asked if I wanted to update my folder which it did (verified with windows explorer.

But what didn't happen was to display new albums in the Itunes window of the app. The only albums/songs I see are the ones I downloaded or burned from CD on this machine.

I used another PC with a faster CD that the laptop to burn the new music(albums)

The albums/songs are physically there, their just not displayed.
