Enemy Territory Please emergency

I used to play Enemy Territory and True Combat Elite on Pcs and on a Ibook and never had any problems.

However I just bought a MacBook and cannot seem to make it work again.
When I click on the Enemy Territory icon, I have a black screen with green letters telling 'looking for cpu' 'found dual core' and then that screen disapear and I just hear some kind of an angry hornet sound repeating itself forever.

When I force the application to quit, it says between brackets : Enemy Territory (not responding)

I've been told by MacBook users to create a file called autoexec.cfg containing that text :

seta r_fullscreen "0"

and to paste it into the etmain folder. It did make the black screen with green lines go a bit farther, but then it blocked again.

When I force quit, if I ask for a report, it tells me that :

Make sure that your system meets the system requirements of the game and the fact that you have enough memory. Most games will recommend you to have 2GB of RAM to run the game.

Please refer this problem to id Software and Activision about the issue since this doesn't really seem to be a system issue. Sounds more like a software issue.
