iTunes store crashes when I open Movies/TV shows section

I am having the same issue.

I'll bet you have an Imac with the ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics card?

Seems many people are having a problem.

I would think Apple would be anxious to fix this asap as they are losing money everytime some can't purchase downloads from their site!

I wish they would at least acknowledge the problem instead of wasting people's time with fixes that don't work!

I'm having the very same issue, and you're right, my video card is an ATI,RadeonHD2400...

Same here. Anybody make any progress on resolving this? I have a $25 iTunes gift card that's burning a hole in my pocket.

apple has told me they can not reproduce the issue and has closed my bug report.

i can recreate the issue in my sleep by now.

I'm seeing the same thing.

My mac never crashes but the iTunes store completely freezes my whole computer. I have to do a hard reset every time.

I also have a similar problem. Every time I tried to access TV shows or Movies from iTunes store, it crashes but it only hangs up iTunes so I do not need to restart. I could save some money because of not buying stuff so it may not be so bad...

that is a completely different problem, i've seen that whole clean reinstalls help that... the itunes store freeze is a 20" imac problem, but not all 20"imac problem, which is why you need to be persistent when contacting apple reps, point them to the half a dozen threads here about this problem. (organize before you call, then start reading the threads, the important ones)

(work around it by putting the itunes in an old browser mode, "cmnd-b" when searching or doing anything in the itunes store area)

Well, for me, not having iTunes sitting all the way up at the top of the screen has made a difference...since I have the same computer as everyone else in this thread. Put the top of iTunes a little below where your Macintosh HD icon is and see if it works a little better. I have a 7 year old PC sitting next to my Mac with an outdated Samsung monitor that hasn't had a driver update since 2001. It cuts out all the time, but if you tweak where your windows are, it makes a difference.

I've just updated my OS to 10.5.6 and have iTunes 8.0.2. No freezes here.
