charging and icons

when I plug in my iPod touch to of usb2 port how come it won't charge? Of is not off nor asleep etc. Sometimes the iPod charge icon doesn't show and the only way to get it to show is unplug the cable from the iPod itself and plug it right back in. But sometimes I will come back to pc and it hasn't charged and no the pc not sleepi g etc. Also it seems like the iPod so t charge while the iPod is off. Is that normal cue when it's off and I plug it in it won't charge when I come back hrs later.

Also tonight I turned it on one time and all the home screen icons were shaking and did nothing when touched.this and the charge issue make me so dee if I should return it and exchane it.

This is a normal feature. If you press any icon long enough, all the icons shake. This allows the icons to be moved to another position or screen. To stop the shaking, hit the Home button.

Should have been easy to understan even with the typos 🙂.

I am talking about iPod touch plugged into my pc USB port. It doesn't seem to charge when iPod is turned off. Also the charge icon. Doesn't show she. You plug it Into the pc USB port. I connect to USB and come back hrs later and the battery has less power or is the same. I have to plug cable into iPod touch then plug it in again for the charge icon to show, but then if I shut iPod off it won't charge it seems. And no, the pc is not asleep or in standby or anything.

Sorry, my reading must be really bad today. Can you point out where in any of your posts you said you were using a desktop or a laptop computer? Where you told us it was a Dell, HP, Toshiba, etc? Which version of Vista you are using? Where you said which USB port (keyboard, back of the computer, front of the computer, back of the monitor) you connected to? Where you said it worked in the past but recently stopped working correctly?

I have a question and I have looked all over and there doesn't seem to be a resolution so I'm hoping you can help.

When I plug in my touch to my laptop running Vista it will show a lightning bolt in the battery to show it's charging. However, shortly after that it will go to the plug icon in the battery, which from what I read on apples site, means its charged but it's not? I had a 1/2 green battery yesterday for the first time in a long time but it didn't last long. I have tried to use a car charger, nothing. I have 3 usb ports on my laptop and I have tried them all. I left the touch plugged in all night last night and I have my computer set so that it doesn't go into hibernation or sleep as long as something is plugged in. I don't know what else to do? Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,

I've read that but that isn't whats happening. I can't get the ipod to keep that icon that says it's charging. It just goes to the plug inside the battery, and it's not fully charged. I'm getting the 20% battery low but it's plugged in? I just have the wrong icon and can't understand why it's switching icons after I plug it in. Initially, I do get the lightning bolt but it doesn't last long

Thanks
