Can't Disable Screensaver

Start by dragging your screensaver .plist files to the desktop and reboot after doing so.
They are in your
~/Library/Preferences directory and look as such:

com.apple.screensaver.001b63933178.plist

They're in the ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost subdirectory.

I have the exact same problem. My screensaver starts after a couple of minutes, even if it is set to never.

I tried all of the above things: repaired permissions, deleted pref-files in byHost folder.

Are there other options to fix this problem?

After deleting the prefs files from the ByHost folder try logging-out and back in, or restarting. See if that helps.

Also, if that doesn't fix it, you should post a new problem because this one is already marked solved. Tagging on a new problem is called thread-jacking and is not a proper use of this forum.
