Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000

I have read read many reports and can not find the definitive answer if this mouse works under BootCamp with XP. I have read it is great:

http://forums.macworld.com/message/672586

and other who have stated this does not work at all. LIKE HERE.

Any advise would be great because I do not care for the Mighty Mouse. I am an Apply Fan, but have never really cared from any Apple mice. I am currently using a Microsoft 3000 with my MacBook Pro, but with everyone around me using the same 3000 version we are starting to have connectivity issue. Lately one will over power the other. I was hoping the BlueTooth would fix this and with the 5000 having the same feel I was hoping it would work under both systems (Mac OX/BootCamp XP)

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

i am trying to get this same mouse to work with Vista XP1 under boot camp. Every other aspect of the experience has been flawlss--i dont have a single complaint. but i see that vista doesnt have a My Bluetooth places like it would have in XP--and considering that the new macbook pros have bluetooth in them and that the bootcamp drivers should have installed with the cd during the bootcamp installation--i find that weird. any workaround?

I have a Macbook (aluminum) and I can't get it to recognize my microsoft bluetooth notebook mouse 5000. My iMac recognizes it fine. I even was able to enable sharing between my iMac and macbook using bluetooth. So it can't be the bluetooth in my macbook. Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can get my macbook to recognize my mouse? Thanks

Update - I got it to work. I had to hold the button on the mouse in for a while. Funny, I did not have to do that for my iMac to see it. But it works now and I am a happy man.
