Unable to demote MDC

Hello, I have a XSAN environment (1 MDC and 3 Workstation). I temporary installed the MDC on a MacBook Pro and now I have to change it with a XServer. I can not recover the license because I can not downgrade a client (the choise is disable).
Any idea?
Help will be welcome...

Can you describe exaclty what you want to acheive? If you install xsan on a macbook pro, it will never function as an MDC as a macbook pro has no fibre connection. You can upgrade a client to a controller, switch the macbook pro off, connect your xserve and enter the licence from the macbook pro, and set your xserve to be a controller. Then change your current controller back to a client. It is quite a dangerous thing running with only one mdc though. If you loose that, you loose your data!

Ok, no problem. The following method should work...
1. Set one of your 3 workstations (which I am guessing are clients of the xsan) to be a controller.

2. Switch off the macpro and remove from the system.

3. Install xsan on the xserve and use the serial number from the macpro.

4. Set the xserve to be the controller.

5. Demote the workstation back to a client.

This should give you 3 clients and one xserve MDC.
