superdrive does not accept any discs?

Hello,

Recently the superdrive will not accept the loading of any discs into the slot. I tried putting a disc into it and there was no sound, light nor activity. I am fairly certain there is no disc jammed in the drive. Please advise on any correction for this problem.

I suggest that you take the computer in to be checked by Apple - sounds like hardware.

I just had the same thing happen to my MB. I took it into my local Apple store (Bellevue WA) and after a few checks, the genius said they would have to replace the Super Drive. They kept it overnight and the next afternoon, called to say it was repaired.
