Methods For Cleaning Apple Wireless (+ Additional USB) Keyboard(s)
Had some friends over at the weekend and unfortunately some booze got poured over my 2 week old Apple Wireless Keyboard! Its the older design, not the new skinny silver design.
I read in a few places about running the wired USB keyboards through a rinse cycle in a washing machine with no detergent to clean out the crap and bring them out white and then leaving them dry out for a few days properly before trying to reconnect.
I did read this was possible for the wireless but i am fairly hesitant as it obviously has more electronics in there for transmitting the bluetooth signal etc.
Is this true for either of the keyboards? Does anybody have any good links for step by step guides, or any tips etc?
As i said ive only had this wireless keyboard for two weeks so i'd really like to have it running properly again. I've also got an old usb keyboard which had the same fate of booze being spilt in it, so i can test on that one.
Any help is much appreciated!
