microphone to headphone loopback

I'm trying to set up my dad's Ipod with a Belkin Universal Microphone Adapter so that the signal picked up on the microphone (a Sony ECM=Z60) gets looped back to the headphones (basicly I made him a hearing aid with a set of Bose QC2s, then got him an Ipod, now I want the Ipod to double as the mic preamp).

Is there any way to loop back the mic signal to the headphone output? No recording is necessary in this case...
