accessing older emails on iPhone?

Hi everybody,

I have a separate mail folder with important emails, some of them not recent but from e.g. last month. I would like to have access to all these mails on the iPhone but even when I change the Mail settings to Show 200 Recent Messages some of the old messages in this folder do not show up (as they are not recent enough).
Is there any trick that I can use to see them all?

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi Allan,
Many thanks for your help.
I have checked my account settings. Account type is "Exchange". Don't know what exactly this means.
It is definitely not a POP account question as the emails are not downloaded to my computer.
(I guess your idea with the POP/IMAP account question was that the mails are downloaded to my desktop in which case the iPhone cannot detect them on the server any more)
But still, there is no selection "Load more messages" in the mail boxes.
