ibook g3 model m6411 466 mhz won't fully reboot after software update HELP

Just did a software update (mac os x 10.2.8 combined I think was the name of the update) and now the old school ibook won't reboot fully. After the update completed, of course it said that I needed to restart my computer. I did and now all I see is an error message stating that I need to restart the computer. I do and it's groundhog day;no matter how many times I do as it asks and restart, the same error message presents itself. HELP!

Is it in multiple languages or just a more normal looking dialogue box?

Depending how much spare capacity you have on your Hard drive, you may need to do and Archive and Install. At least that will preserve your personal files and settings after reinstalling.

The multi-lingual message is often related to a kernel panic, an alarming sounding general condition often caused by a hardware malfunction; sometimes RAM, or sometimes an external device whose I/O kernel location gets lost.

I hope the reinstall goes well and just included those links if your interested in the subject.
