MY IPOD DELETES ITS OWN MUSIC?

*i recently bought a iPod nano 4th gen, 4G. it's had problems from the start, but the most annoying one is that it deletes its own music.*

the songs are all remaining in itunes and working when i play them there, but when i sync my iPod it deletes 20-50 songs at a time (and the iPod is nowhere near full). there are 478 songs in iTunes and currently 32 songs on my iPod.

Itunes comes up with no error message when syncing and i have all the new sofware updates. i've only had the iPod for a month, if that.

If anyone knows what to do, please help me- im really confused!!

is the "sync checked songs only" button clicked when it's plugged in? if it is, unclick that and iTunes will sync all music, movies etc. to your iPod.
If that isn't the case, try restoring the iPod.
Happy Listening!
