Adding an USB PCI card on a PowerMac 6500
I have a PowerMac 6500/300 with a Sonnet Crescendo L2/G3 500 Mhz upgrade card, 128MB RAM and my operating system is Mac OS 9.2.2. I had to fix the system file with ResEdit to get this OS working on my Mac. I have a problem with a recently installed Keyspan UPCI-2 USB 1.1 PCI card which I have imported from the U.S. to Switzerland. All the devices are recognized correctly in the Apple System Profiler (e.g. USB Hub, Zip 100, etc.) but no device is mounting on the desktop. All the USB and USB card drivers are installed from the Mac OS 9.2.2 CD.
Is it possible that the Keyspan USB PCI card denies working if a L2/G3 upgrade card is also installed? Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
