Mark (scuff) on wrist rest

Just got my new MacBook Pro yesterday - looks awesome! I've noticed that on the wrist rest there is a white mark (looks like a scratch, but I don't think it is). I can run my fingernail across it and it does not catch. So I'm assuming it's just a mark of some sort. Should I be worried about this? I can not seem to get it off. Does this new unibody aluminum have a tendency to do this? Any suggestions to get this off?

Since we can't see it first hand nobody here could offer a definitive answer. Since you just go the computer yesterday return it and get another one.

I may return it, but other than that, the thing is flawless (screen, etc). Not sure I want to take a chance and get something worse. Has anyone had any marks that were cleaned off successfully with something they could recommend (iKlear)?

It's a very small white scuff - you have to be in the right lighting to see it.

If it had been caused by plastic or rubber, a damp microfiber cloth would get rid of it.

Shinex makes excellent ones, which are at Lowe's or the Home Depot.

If the anodized aluminum has been penetrated, then nothing can be done.

I too feel your frustration.

My MBP had a mark like that on the top of the case. It was like a scuff mark that wouldn't come off no matter what I tried. I took it back to the Apple store and they replaced it. I had other problems with it at the time, so the replacement was also meant to fix those issues (which it didn't). But, I think they'll swap it just for that, as they told me they would've done so for me. This was at the Apple Store at the Domain (Austin, TX).
