Your location could not be determined

When using the maps functionality I regularly observe the following:
- the message "Your location could not be determined" usually when my wifi is connected and with very good 3G reception. I doubt its a bad GPS signal as my TomTom picks up my location perfectly.

- it seems to be confused where i am currently and takes ages to realise I have moved.

- I used to be able to drive and see a round circle move on the map as I changed location. Since upgrading to 2.1 this no longer works.

- Sometimes it cannot pinpoint exactly where I am but instead shows a large circle where I might be. Don't understand why - perfect 3G reception, outside and with/without wifi. My TomTom picks my precise location in no time.

Very disappointed with this functionality.
