Burning CDs

I am having the same problem. I am on version 8.0.3 on a pc running windows vista. Tried different brands of CDs. Same problem. Worked just fine prior to upgrade.

having exactly the same problem...tried everything and everyones suggestions. it just keeps initializing burning then spits the disc out and come up with an error 2131. getting a little frustrated about now that apple havent done anything to fix what clearly is rather big issue.

I am having the same problem! I'm getting error message 4450. Does anyone have a SOLUTION????

I was having the same problem with burning cd's, however, I overcame the problem this way:

Create a new playlist from the playlist options,
give it a name (e.g. Playlist One)
Drag items you want burning into that playlist
Open the playlist
Click Burn CD

It worked for me, so give it a try

ok, so I made the playlist. and it said that I needed to click the Burn CD icon at the bottom right hand of the screen. The only thing is...the button isn't there! i've looked for a solution for an hour! someone please help me!

You need to select the specific playlist you want to burn, then the burn button will appear at the bottom.

I cannot convert the music files that I download from CDs into MP3 format. I want to burn a CD using all MP3 format (to fit more songs on a CD) Any suggestions?

also receiving error code 4450. Same as several others - CD starts to burn, checks the playlist, initializes, burns part of the first track, then the message appears "Cancelling burn" --- then the box pops up and says Disc burn failed. unknown reason error code 4450.
it's pretty frustrating to me that i can't find Itunes support for their program, just for the store and the products.

I did what you said but it will only burn the songs that I've copied in from CD's.
I want all of the songs that I bought to be on the disc too.
I'm trying to move my playlist from my old computer to my new computer.

EDIT: Now it cancelled the burning and gave me a 4220 error code.

I'm getting error 4420

I cannot get iTunes to find my CD burner. It is looking for the CD Burner and always prompts me to reinstall itunes which I have done beyond necessary. Any ideas? (Also repaired itunes with no luck.)

i have had the exact same problem for a couple of months and i just figured it out. when the prompt come up after you insert a blank dic, instead of the default 'audio cd', change it to 'data cd'. it works with the same kind of cd, except now it actually burns the songs.

How does one find the burn cd Icon.

I created a new playlist, dragged the songs I wanted to the playlist, made sure that all the songs had the checkmarks beside them, went to the playlist I had created, and still no Burn Disc icon on bottom of itunes window

I just tried to burn an audio CD and had the same problems you did ... checking media message, then it kicks out the CD and that's it. Has anyone found a fix to this ? I just want to burn a CD .. that's it ..
