Unable to Move Message

Ever since 2.2 update I can't delete emails on any secondary accounts with AOL, only main account.
Not sure about any pop accounts?
I've rebooted, made sure any settings haven't been changed, on Iphone or AOL.
Any suggestions would be great.

Did search in forum but no other posts come up on first five pages concerning this problem!

I believe I have a clue on this one.

Note that the default under *Settings->Fetch New Data* is "Push" On, and "Fetch" Manually.

This means that the iPhone will only connect when the Exchange server pushes a "new mail" message.

What I think is happening is that if you move or delete a message, but you +don't receive any new mail+ for a while afterwards, the iPhone eventually times out on moving the message (delete is really just a move to the Deleted Items folder) because it hasn't been able to contact the Exchange server.

But if you hit the "Refresh" icon after moving or deleting mail, you are manually fetching, and the iPhone contacts the Exchange server and successfully moves the messages. (I have experimentally verified this by watching my Outlook inbox.) If you don't want to remember to manually refresh, change the Fetch schedule to "Hourly."

This has worked for me so far. (My wife got me a 3G iPhone for Christmas to replace my beat-up and cranky Samsung SCH-i760 Windows Mobile device. I am an Exchange admin, among other things, so I've been working through issues as I encounter them.)

I am having the same issue with an "orphan" e-mail message on the Iphone. The message does not exist on the exchange server. When we try to delete it from the Iphone we get the "cannot move message". I assume it cannot move it to trash because it cannot find the corresponding message on the exchange server.

Has anyone defined a way to delete the message from the Iphone without deleting and recreateing the exchange mail account on the Iphone?

I have two accounts. One Exchange and one POP. The POP account has no problems. My Exchange account is experiencing the above issue where an email I delelted from Exchange can not be removed from the phone mailbox. I get the "Unable to move" message. Unfortunately I do not have the Advanced tab under the Exchange account settings. Is there another way to get rid of these?
