Is there a signal generator in Logic somewhere?

I want to experiment with sidechaining a kick drum track to another track of a very low hertz (30-60) sine wave so that the low sine wave only sounds when the kick drum hits, creating the illusion of a bigger,deeper kick drum.

Anyone have any tips for doing this and wether or not there is some kind of signal generator within Logic?

i believe that there is a tone or a signal generator in the plugin menu, probably in the tools or utilities menu.

Cool. Found it. It's called "Test Oscillator" in the Utilites plugin list. But how do I go about setting this up so that the kick drum triggers the TO only when the kick drum hits?

You might want to go with the SubBass plugin, which I believe is located in the Specialized category. This is designed to do exactly what you want--add a low frequency sine wave to your audio signal. It will automatically trigger with your kick drum.

Aside from going with the aforementioned SubBass plugin, you can put on a Noise Gate plugin after the Test Oscillator plugin and set the noise gate's sidechain to whatever bus the kick drum is feeding a signal. With a fast attack and a moderate release on the gate, you can get a kick-like envelope.
