Best macbook for elderly eyes?

None. They're all the same. Basicially if you want bigger, you'll have to help them set up for larger fonts.

Really though - a MacBook isn't really the greatest for older eyes. They'd be better off with a bigger screen. My 14" iBook G4 1.42 would have been good for them.

Here's a great trick if something is hard to read and people need "big pixels":

* Hold down the "control" key
* Put two fingers on the mousepad (about 1-2 inches apart)
* Move fingers up and down

Zoom!

(You don't even need to have the zoom feature enabled in accessibility.)

"Native". You can always adjust the screen resolution to make the objects on the screen larger.

But at lower than native resolutions, LCDs get fuzzy which can often make text harder to read than a text that's smaller but sharper.

If it must be a laptop consider the 17" MacBook Pro or the 15" MacBook Pro. The MacBook has a 13" screen.

A better solution if it doesn't have to be portable would be a large screen iMac.

All MacBooks (not MacBook Pro) have the same resolution, 1280x800. So from that standpoint there would be no different between the various models.
