Font's problem

I have made a site with iWeb and published it on my university server, and although every thing was working perfectly fine, I noticed a problem with the fonts. For instance instead of double quotes " I get this “ and this †as the second pair of double quotes. I also get a distorted apostrophe and  for spaces. I could live with those but the real problem however came later when I decided to make a Greek version of it. Nothing works apart of the latin characters. The page shows perfectly fine on iWeb or on Safari when I try and open the html file, but when I publish the files the fonts are distorted.
the site is http://www.abdn.ac.uk/u06ck5
when you go to the site, at the right bottom corner of the welcome page is a small Greek flag saying "click here" in Greek. If you press it it takes you to the Greek version of the site.

Anyone has any suggestions about it?
