How can I play MIDI files in iPhone?

I have composed musics in MIDI and need to listen to it using my iPhone 3G. During the sync process, iTune throw a message saying "<filename> was not copied to the iPhone "<name of iPhone>" because it cannot be played on this iPhone."
MIDI files has been a standard for so long and how can Apple not support this music standard? Is there an easy fix to this?

There are many utilities to convert MIDI to WAV or MP3, but I do change my scores pretty frequently. converting the MIDI again and again is not the smartest way to go.
There has been general MIDI software synthesizer around for years, and since many portable devices (such as Nokia phones, Windows Mobile, etc) having the ability to play MIDI, when will iPhone be upgraded with the ability to play and synch MIDI? Does anybody has recommendations for any third party tools that can synthesize the MIDI in iPhone?

" when will iPhone be upgraded with the ability to play and synch MIDI?"

Unless Apple announces there is no way to know what they will or will not do in the future.

"Does anybody has recommendations for any third party tools that can synthesize the MIDI in iPhone?"

You can do a power search in itunes for "Midi". When I did it, there were 11 apps listed. Perhaps you could look and see if any are what you're looking for.

You may be able to convert to a compatible format. Try searching help in itunes.
