How to use pmset sleepnow

Hi,

I try to use "sudo pmset sleepnow", but I get always the help text.
does anybody know how to use this option?

OMM, sudo isn't necessary.

pmset sleepnow

puts the machine to sleep immediately. sudo is needed if you're changing any of the settings (e.g. sleep timer, screen dim, etc.), but not for the immediately sleep.

That doesn't, of course, explain the help text. Which version of the OS are you running?
