How do I share a printer two two Macs??

I would like to be able to share one printer with my iMac and my Macbook.

I have a newer imac running osX5..

I have a newer macbook running the same os

my printer is HA laserjet 1012.

I have a network for the internet, router and wireless connect for the macbook.

I cannot get the Macbook to send printing through the iMac to the printer which is attached to the iMac.

Please help... the instructions in the "help" did not help. what are the steps to get the share printer working.?? thanks in advance.

Imac 24, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

Make sure the printer driver is installed on both Macs.
Make sure on the iMac which has the printer attached that printer sharing is turned on
Make sure the Macbook does not have printer sharing turned on.
Make sure the printer and the imac are power on when you try to print from the Macbook.

you could simplify this by connecting the 1012 to the usb port of an Apple Extreme or Time Capsule router; then printer sharing does not matter and the imac powered on does not matter. both Macs could print to the 1012 over the network.
