MacBook Pro screen blinks

My new MacBook Pro display screen is blinking or flickering every few minutes now. I've only noticed it when I've switched to the integrated 9400M graphics processor. I don't recall seeing any blinks when using the discrete 9600M GPU. Usually it is only the top half or so of the display that blinks or flickers for a split second. Anyone else having the same problem?

Ok - so my 5th MBP arrived yesterday 9C85 display... no stagelight effect, but within 5 hrs of use, it started to flicker.

It's going back. I have decided to give the 17" machine a try as there seems to be a firmware update that address the issue (according to the guy I spoke with at Apple). That said, the 17" machine does seem to have similar problems ( http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9293822 ) which implies it's something more generic rather than 15" only.

One interesting aside... this might be "Apple's Greenest MacBook ever" but the number of airmiles clocked up going back and forth to China also makes it one of the most well travelled... can I offset it's carbon footprint? 🙂

Well I hope you are wrong..but I feel like you might be right. I have been having the black bar that appears across the screen very randomly as well. I know that was a problem with the 17 inch that was supposedly corrected by their update. I am hoping that maybe it is a power thing that maybe can be fixed by a firmware update. It can't hurt to hope:)
