Help with video export: MJPEG in AVI

Hi Everybody!

I need to export video with MJPEG encoding (Type A or B will work I think), There will be sound with this, but its format choices can be more varied. QuickTime Pro (7.5.5) is very happy to do the encoding but the only container it can be put into is MOV.

I'm looking for either a way to convert the container without re-encoding the video, or alternatively for a different application that can go straight to AVI from the source video (MPEG 4 usually).

I have looked at using VLC, ffmpeg (inc within Handbrake) and of course Quicktime, all without success.

If anybody has any Ideas then I'd love to hear 'em since at the moment I'm stuck using Arcsoft's MediaConvertor in a Windows XP virtual machine!

Thanks very much,

Mark Irwin
