AE Exports in 1080i
Hey guys,
Alright, this might something completely obvious that I am just missing, but here goes anyway:
I'm currently editing a short film that was shot on 16mm and then transferred into 1080i (1920x1080) at 23.98 fps. I animated a credit sequence in the latest version of After Effects that (I believe) matches all the same format settings. I exported it as an uncompressed Quicktime, and when I watch the stand alone QT from my desktop, it looks fine. However, when I import it into FCP it looks choppy. I thought this was due to FCP doing its best to preview uncompressed HD video, but when I compressed the finished film for a DVD with compressor, the credits on the compressed video still look choppy as do the credits on the finished DVD. I have tried this multiple times with different AE projects and have seen the same results.
I know I must be forgetting something, right? Any advice? These message boards are always so helpful.
Thanking you all in advance,
Austin
