MacBook Pro won't connect to Wifi unless I use network diagnostics each tme

I bought my MacBook about a month ago and all was well connecting to my home Wifi (FIOS router). Suddenly my computer has decided that it will not connect to the internet. Although the bars appear full strength from the wireless signal, I cannot connect to the internet. (I can plug into the internet via the router/ethernet and it works fine so I know it's not the FIOS, and my friends Macbook still connects over the WiFi so I know it's not the signal). The only way I can get the computer to connect is by going through the network diagnostics and entering the wifi network name and password and saving it to the keychain each time I want to use it. BUT it will only work until my computer goes to sleep and then the problem starts all over again. This problem just started this morning without provocation....
