Why not set Comodo Firewall to allow comms with the iTunes store?

-> "Well Known" TCP and UDP ports used by Apple software products
Port 80 - http - TCP
Port 443 - SSL - TCP

That has been tried with no luck, tried everything from allowing the firewall policies accepting anything to do with itunes, itunes.exe access (inbound and outbound) service startups etc etc, like i said before it seems a very common problem once updated to iTunes 8.x - never had any probs with the firewall on iTunes 7.x. The only way was to either delete the firewall completely and install a new one or use the above method.
