Songs Not transferring to IPod.

I recently restored my Ipod nano because it had some error and wasn't synicing to my library anymore. Now my ipod won't transfer most of my songs from my library, it continues to say that the files are missing, but I have them backed up. I don't know what the problem is but I don't want to delete 437 songs. Can someone please hep?
