Motion & Final Cut running SLOW - help!

I am experiencing issues with Motion and Final Cut (or sometime just one application)running extremely slow or even crashing when doing simple tasks. For example, I am trying to recreate Ken Burns effect with photo in Motion and program just freezes up when I try to position and scale photo.

Any thoughts?

PowerPC G5, Mac OS X (10.5.2), 2GB RAM/GeForce 5200 64MB

how large are your stills? and what format?

You don't have a great deal of RAM. Running Final Cut Pro and Motion at the same time (particularly Motion as it caches a lot of data to RAM) plus all the overheads of the operating system would fill up 2 GB quite easily.

wow.. I didn't check your system specs.... Jon is right.. your gonna have quiet a time trying to run motion on your current system.
