24" LED Panel Model (IPS or VA)

Can anyone confirm the type of panel used in this display? It's crazy that Apple would make it this hard to find out what components they are using in their products...

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

I dont think anyone has wanted to take apart their new monitor yet 😉

However, the general consensus is that it is, at least, different from the imac (just based of the side-by-side view from ars)

I dont think this means it 'isn't an IPS panel...it could just be a newly refreshed model?

I can find Apple Alu 24" as 24"WS LG.Display H-IPS (LM240WU2-(SL)(B1))
May be the LED Cinema Display?

That is the general consensus...

Until someone actually pops their monitor open though - I don't think it is safe to conclude it is an IPS panel. This sould really only affect people who actually need the wide gamut.
