My phone won't turn on?

Yesterday, my phone just started freaking out and it kept on restarting. Now it turns on, a little cartoon guy pops up, it has a caption in hebrew, and the phone shuts back down. It also won't read the phone on my computer anymore. 😟

-My phone isn't unlocked, but it's "semi-'jailbroken'"

*question is, how the heck can i sync it to itunes at least back to factory settings... or if anyone knows how i can just get the phone to power on?? Thank you. 🙂

There is no "semi-jailbroken". It is or it isn't.

You'll need to put the phone in recovery mode. Start by turning the phone off with the red slider.

Once it's turned off, press and hold the "Home" button and plug the iPhone into your Mac or PC. Keep holding the "Home" button until you see a dock cable pointing to the iTunes icon. Release the Home button.

Open iTunes (if it's not already open) and you will be told that "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode". Click "OK" and you will be taken to the iPhone pane. Click restore. Patiently wait for restore to complete and avoid hacking the phone in the future.

thanks for your response.

About how long do you think i have to hold the home button for?
sorry i just tried what you said, except my phone is already off (it wont stay on) and now the cartoon pic is stuck on the screen. lol...

and yeah definately not jailbreaking my phone again it didnt even work, the only thing it changed was the picture of the apple when i would start my phone up,... nothing else (visible)..

Turn the phone off - hold the sleep/wake button down until you see the Red Slider. Slide the red slider and let go the sleep/wake button.

Once the phone is off, you have to hold the Home button until you see

right, i understand what youre saying, but my phone isnt doing that. Unless i have to hold the home button for like 10 minutes, i tried for 5 then my finger got tired. 😟

no because my friend and i jb our phones when we first got them and we just googled some site, i dont remember AT ALL where i got the jb software from 😐

Also, a simpler way to get to Recovery Mode. Connect your iPhone to your computer, then hold down the home and sleep buttons for about a minute or until the iTunes/USB logo appears. Should bypass the other issues and allow you to restore your iPhone back to factory specifications.

thanks Lauren, i tried that also now, no luck. i wonder if i try it from my sisters mac or a diff computer,...
