Custom size photos

Custom size photos

Help -- I saw a similar topic in IPhoto 8 forum but I am still using version 6.0.
I want to resize a photo to a specific custom size. 4.5x4.5 inches. I am not sure how to do this. Tried to convert to pixels under custom constraint and that didn't seem to work. I don't know what the size of the "square" option under the standard sizes is (the measurement) but it is bigger than I need.
Can I make custom sizes in IPhoto 6??

first crop the photo to 45x45 (cropping works only in ratios and does not accept fractions so this will give you a square photo) then print it a a custom size of 4.5" x 4.5" - pixels and inches have no relation to each other

Thank you! I got as far as trying to find somewhere to choose a custom size for printing.
Where do I find this? I am getting only standard sizes in my print selections.

Is anyone able to help me print out custom size photos on Iphoto 6?
I am able to make the photo square, but I want to print out to a specific size (4.5 inches square).
Is this possible??
