Hey etty,
Sounds like you need a new keyboard.
a few keys type... or random a key seems totally stuck...

Which ones? Might be able to fix it. It might be more trouble than it's worth for you to fix it. A tech type might be able to see which key/s are broken/stuck.
I'd suggest not leaving your MacBook Pro out where the cat can get at it.

Hi,

If your computer is indeed the older style " snowball " or " lampy " iMac G4 AND the keyboard is the original ( M8703 part number I think ) one that came with the computer - You could try putting the keyboard through the dishwasher! No. I am not joking either 🙂

Google the phrase:-

iMac Keyboard Dishwasher

It brings up several, in fact dozens of, references of people actually doing it. It does appear to work too. That said, I have never tried it - I don't own a cat and don't drink beer in front of my computer.

If you do try it and it works - Please let me know. If you do try it and it does not work - Please don't blame me.

Regards.

Ian.
