sharper image aa001 bluetooth headset gets calls on iphone 3g but no music

I am seeking technical support. I have the 10X Wireless headphones with Class 1 Bluetooth, AA001.
I find it works with my iphone's phone (receives calls) but does not receive the music from the iphone. I can receive music through my computer's itunes using the transmitter (base station), so I know it is not that music won't come through the headset. What might I try to do? On my computer, I can go to sound and tell it to port the sound to my bluetooth headset, but on the iphone there is no such sound out selection option to do the same.

(By the way, the AA001 sound is poor--sounds like I am listening to music in a tunnel)
