Edit Photos or Insert "Clip Art" into a Newsletter?

Hello Smart People~

I need help because I am still a novice Mac user. I am curious how you edit photos in Pages. Do you have to edit them in iPhoto first? I need to crop one.

Also, is there anyway to insert "clip art" into the newsletter? I like to add snowflakes and trees, but I can't figure out how or where to do it.

Thanks, in advance, for your help and understanding.

It is often useful to take time to search in the Help delivered with our programs.

Searching for "crop" in the Pages's Help returns:
User uploaded file

Yes of course

I like to add snowflakes and trees, but I can't figure out how or where to do it.

This is a different question. Apple doesn't deliver Clip Art with Pages.
They are zillions of them available on the net.
Search for "snowflakes" in Google and you will get a lot of them.
