Hi,

My father has recently buyed a Time Capsule.
I want to connect it to the network using wireless connection.
unfourtenatly the wireless network is using a 64bit WEP security.
I couldn´t find a way to connec it with this security protocol.
Is there any way to connect it?

Thanks,
Yair.

Hello YTYT. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!

Try setting the radio mode to something other than any of the 802.11n options, like 802.11b/g compatible. You can access these non-"n" modes by holding down the <Option> key before making the selection.

With the non-"n" modes, you will now have access to "true" 64-bit WEP instead of only having WEP Transitional.

To connect to a 64-bit WEP network, choose "WEP 40-bit" on your TC.

I know that this may sound confusing, but standard 64-bit WEP is actually a 40 bit key (also known as WEP-40) + a 24-bit initialization vector (40 + 24 = 64) to form the actual key. Apple just uses the term WEP 40-bit, but you can consider it the same as other vendors use of WEP 64-bit.
