Shuffle in the washing machine

My shuffle got put in the washing machine by mistake. It was totally dead when it came out...is there any hope? Is there anything I can do to help revive it?

Yeah..Put it in the dryer. 😉

I know others were thinking this so I just decided to say it.

It's possible that once the shuffle dries out completely (which may take several days or even weeks), it may once again work. But it's not likely, so you probably will indeed have to buy a new one.
