Lexmark z1300, cannot print from timecapsule

I have a Lexmark z1300 set up to a timecapsule. I'm running Leopard 10.5.5 from both a mac mini and a macbook pro. I can see the lexmark printer a la Bounjour when I'm adding a printer. But when I print to it I get the message:

"There is a problem communicating with the printer. Make sure the printer is powered on and connected to the computer. Delete or hold the job and try again."

If I connect the printer to my macbook pro, and then set it up as a shared printer, I can print to it just fine from my Mac Mini. But it does not work when its attached to the mac mini. Any ideas?

mac mini, Mac OS X (10.5.5), mac pro
