iTunes Store available in the Dominican Republic

Hi,

We got the iPhones here in Santo Domingo on Dic 4th, just wanted to know when will the iTunes Store accept credit cards from this country? In other words open up the possibility to buying apps and music for the iPhone. Thanks.

You Know I also wants to know if at least Apple is considering open a store here in DR, I also have an iPhone and i cant get app because you dont accept Dominican Credits Cards, I mean this is really stuped, If you let companies sell the iPhone here legaly at least you can give options for those iPhone user to get app, or at least the free one, me for example I want the iSilo and why i cant get bcz of wht i said previously.

We really want to buy app from the app store...So open a store fast plz

Sorry, but we're all just your fellow users here and so have no idea when the App Store will open in the Dominican Republic. Depending on the DR's copyright laws and import and release restrictions, if any, and the availability of an appropriate Internet infrastructure, it could happen quickly or it could take quite a while. Music and video content will quite possibly take even longer as there will be many issues with rights and copyright that Apple would have to work out. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
